Mission

The Educational Foundation of the Chesters is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for the students of the Chester Public School District.  Our mission is to enrich the academic pursuits of our students and inspire them for success in the 21st century.

We accomplish this by:
  • Funding projects that enrich the curriculum but fall outside of the district's standard operating budget.
  • Encouraging teacher innovation and teaching excellence.
  • Responding to emerging educational needs.
  • Supporting district-wide learning initiatives.
  • Engaging the community in fundraising efforts.
  • Fostering collaborative projects with community partners.

What We Fund

  • Grants proposed by district teachers and staff for innovative or creative educational projects.
  • Pilot of new after school clubs that support our mission.
  • Chester Science Fair Chemistry & Physics awards.
  • Reading incentives and awards for the Ed. Foundation Read-A-Thon.

The Educational Foundation of the Chesters is a non-profit corporation run by an all volunteer Board of Trustees.
